The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism is the official body responsible for promotion of Mauritius as a tourist destination abroad.

Alto Rio Ltd is a privately owned Company involved in the manufacturing and exports of high-quality garments. Alto Rio is led by its founder, Anthony Koon, a RMIT (Australia) Graduate in Textiles Applied Science.

Based in Mauritius, Alto Rio was founded in 2016 and started as a manufacturing plant for a textile agency involved in the exports of garments and textile products to Sub-Saharan Africa.  Today, Alto Rio Ltd has a monthly output of over 50000 garments and apparel including t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, joggers, jackets, hoodies, underwear, sportswear and more, being specialised in Jersey, Fleece, Interlock, and Rib fabrics. While we outsource fabrics, accessories and trims from trusted suppliers, merchandising, pattern, printing, embroidery, cutting, make-up, ironing, quality control, packing, cartoning is done in-house, with a dedicated shipping team. Alto Rio currently employs over 85 workers in production across cutting, make-up, printing, quality, and finishing departments, and over 10 admin staffs including design, merchandising, planning, sample coordinator and export documentation amongst others.  Our exports clientele to date has extended to UK, USA, Italy, France, Tanzania, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia as we produce for internationally renown brands. ​Alto Rio Ltd’s mission is to become a significant and major supplier to the apparel industry, by offering consistency and reliability our clients.
