Health Services Assistance

This qualification trains you to become a Health Care Assistant, working alongside nurses and medical practitioners to support patient well-being across hospitals, aged care facilities, and home care environments. You’ll develop skills in personal care, infection control, rehabilitation, and first aid, as well as effective teamwork and communication.

Awarded by South Metro TAFE and endorsed by the Australian Government, the Certificate III is internationally recognised and provides a strong pathway to the Certificate IV in Preparation for Nursing Studies and Curtin’s Bachelor of Science (Nursing Global).
