Curtin Mauritius - Game of Code 2025

Game of Code 2025 gathered 80 students from five leading Mauritian universities for a dynamic multi-day coding challenge hosted by Curtin Mauritius, an academic partner of Charles Telfair Education. Focused on the theme “Your Human Twist”, this year’s edition challenged teams to co-create with AI and develop digital solutions that support student mental health. The event combined innovation, empathy, and real-world problem-solving — all while connecting young talent with industry experts.

Hosted by Curtin Mauritius — an international campus of Curtin University and a proud education partner of Charles Telfair Education — the second edition of Game of Code brought together future-ready minds and industry leaders for a one-of-a-kind coding challenge.

This year’s theme, “Your Human Twist”, encouraged students to go beyond the technical and explore how artificial intelligence can support student mental health — while keeping empathy, creativity, and emotional intelligence at the centre of their solutions.

Over 80 students across 20 teams from five local tertiary institutions — including Curtin Mauritius, University of Mauritius, University of Technology Mauritius, Middlesex University Mauritius, and Polytechnics Mauritius — competed across multiple days of intense ideation, prototyping and pitching.

The competition culminated in live demos and solution pitches in front of a jury of 18 industry professionals who offered expert feedback and selected the standout projects.

This year’s top teams were:

  • 1st Place – Ctrl C Ctrl V (Curtin Mauritius)
  • 2nd Place – Halal.exe (University of Mauritius)
  • 3rd Place – Snack Overflow (University of Mauritius)

Backed by 13 industry partners including DayForce, RAPP, Infomil, Accenture, ICPS, IBL, and Deloitte, Game of Code 2025 proved to be more than just a tech competition — it served as a launchpad for local talent, a platform for mentorship, and a unique bridge between education and industry.

As an event curated by Curtin Mauritius under the umbrella of Charles Telfair Education, Game of Code reflects our commitment to nurturing innovation, future-ready skills, and real-world impact.

Game of Code 2026 is already in the works — and it’s only getting bigger.
