Centred around the theme “The Sound of Energy”, the sprint challenged students to think creatively, explore new perspectives and transform their ideas into compelling concepts. Working in teams, participants had the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a real-world creative challenge, drawing on their knowledge of communication, design and visual storytelling to develop ideas for a real audience.
Beyond the creative process itself, the initiative offered students valuable insight into the professional world. From brainstorming and exchanging ideas to working under pressure and bringing concepts to life within a limited timeframe, the experience reflected some of the challenges and expectations they may encounter in the creative industry. It also highlighted the importance of teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving and effective communication when developing ideas collaboratively.
By bringing together students from two complementary disciplines, the Creators Sprint encouraged an exchange of perspectives and demonstrated how communication and design can work hand in hand to deliver engaging creative outcomes. It provided a practical learning experience where students could explore their strengths, push their boundaries and gain a better understanding of how their academic knowledge translates into professional practice.
A special congratulations goes to the winning team, comprising Aayat Irfan Qureshi, Idalé Wehmeyer, and Alisha Zahra Nathoo Chaïck Riza. Their achievement has earned them a one-month internship at Aryze and Sphere Media Technologies, offering them the opportunity to take their ideas beyond the classroom and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
This internship marks an exciting next step for the winning students, allowing them to learn from industry professionals, experience the realities of the workplace and further develop the skills needed to pursue careers in the creative sector.
Initiatives such as the Creators Sprint reflect the value of connecting academic learning with industry exposure. At Charles Telfair Education, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, collaborate on practical projects and develop the confidence to take on new challenges. Experiences like these help prepare them for the evolving demands of the communications and design industries.
